Our mattress guarantee promise (and how it works)

We believe a guarantee should be fair, transparent, and actually make sense. Our mattress guarantee is designed to reflect how a mattress ages over time while still protecting you from genuine manufacturing defects.

For the first five years, we cover everything in full. After that, we move to a tiered coverage structure that keeps things honest for both of us.

Full coverage for years 1–5

If a manufacturing fault is confirmed in the first five years, we’ll repair or replace your mattress completely free of charge — no fees, no fuss.

In the unlikely event there is a fault, it’s most likely to appear in these early years. So, we take full responsibility with a full-coverage guarantee and replacement.

Tiered coverage for years 6–10

After five years, mattresses naturally experience regular wear. The guarantee moves to a shared model that reflects real use. trusts the mattress has been properly cared for with regular turning, rotating, and use on a suitable base.

This tiered structure is the fairest and most transparent way to honour the lifespan of a well-made product, while still giving you meaningful protection long-term.

  • Year 6: You pay 60% of the current retail price
  • Year 7: You pay 70%
  • Year 8: You pay 80%
  • Years 9–10: You pay 90%

Why this matters

We put our mattresses through rigorous testing, and we’re confident they’re made to last. The tiered structure simply reflects natural ageing and fair use while still giving you genuine, long-lasting protection. It’s the most honest way we can honour the quality we stand behind.

What your guarantee covers

Your guarantee covers manufacturing faults that affect the performance of lifespan of your mattress, including:

  • Broken, faulty, or sagging springs
  • Foam that loses its shape or support
  • Faulty stitching
  • Structural defects (inside or outside the mattress)

If a covered issue is confirmed, we’ll repair or replace your mattress in line with our guarantee terms.

What your guarantee does not cover

Your mattress guarantee doesn’t cover:

  • General wear and tear
  • Damage caused by improper handling, bending, or folding the mattress
  • Accidental damage, stains, spills, or hygiene issues
  • Mattresses used on unsuitable or damaged bed bases
  • Personal comfort preferences (but you are covered by our 100-night free trial for that)

Caring for your mattress (so your guarantee stays valid)

Taking good care of your mattress means it will last longer and perform better. These steps help keep your guarantee protected.

Rotate regularly

Turn your mattress 180° every 3–6 months to spread out natural wear.

Flip (if suitable)

Most of our mattresses are two-sided so be sure to flip them regularly.

(Memory foam models cannot be flipped, only rotated)

Use a mattress protector

It helps prevent stains, spills, dust, and moisture build-up.

Use a supportive base

A poor-fitting, sagging, or broken bed frame can damage your mattress and invalidate your guarantee.

Keep it clean, dry and in good shape

Avoid bending or folding the mattress. Air it out occasionally for freshness. Try not to get the mattress wet and spot clean any spills immediately.

Frequently asked questions about our mattress guarantee

Not sure which mattress is right for you?

Choosing a mattress doesn’t have to be stressful. That’s why our sleep experts are here to make it easy. We’ll skip the sales pitch and stick to what matters... honest, expert advice to help you sleep better at night.

Do I need proof of purchase?

Yes. Your order number or receipt is required for all guarantee claims. It helps us verify your mattress and its coverage period.

What if I just don’t find the mattress comfortable?

Comfort isn’t covered by the guarantee. But our 100-night mattress trial gives you plenty of time to test your mattress and return it if it’s not the right fit.

Will you remove my old mattress if mine is replaced?

Yes, if your mattress is being replaced under the guarantee, we’ll collect your old one at the same time.

How long does a claim take?

The claim length varies depending on the issue. But we always aim to resolve claims as quickly as possible, keeping you updated throughout the process.

What if my mattress was on the wrong type of bed frame?

Unfortunately, if damage is caused by an unsuitable or broken base, it won’t be covered. The mattress must be used on a supportive, compatible base through its lifespan.

Why is there a tiered guarantee after 5 years?

Because after half a decade of dreams, naps, starfish stretches, and Sunday lie-ins, your mattress has naturally lived a little. The tiered system reflects normal ageing while still covering you if something goes wrong. It keeps things fair, honest, and based on proper mattress care.

Do I need to rotate or flip my mattress to keep the guarantee valid?

Yes, a quick spin every few months (and a flip, depending on your chosen mattress) will help your mattress age gracefully. Proper care will keep your mattress comfortable and your guarantee fully protected.
